The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Tangdar under the title of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The school campus was beautifully decorated with flags and balloons to commemorate the day. All the students , teachers, non-teaching staff assembled in the school premises at 8:00 am. The program started at 8.30 am followed by prayer. Teacher Wajid Saleem welcomed all the members present at the event. After that, our worthy Principal Mr. Shafeeq Ahmed Chak unfurled the flag. Mr. Sajid Ahmad Khan Senior Lecturer gave a brief introduction of the day. Students gave inspiring speeches in Urdu and English.
A cultural program was also organized in the school in which
students of all classes participated. Some students presented patriotic songs
and some made speeches about the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Vice Principal
Mr. Imtiyaz Alam Qurashi in his speech gave the message that we have to be good
citizens of India. There were also some parents who attended the whole program
along with their children. The vote of thanks was given by
Lecturer Showkat Azim. Sweets
were distributed among all the students. The
students who had shown wonderful performance in different competitions were
felicitated. The programme ended by
12.20 PM.
